All customers are made aware of our rates at the time of booking an appointment.
There is a minimum charge of 1 hour on all jobs (£80), and thereafter, labour is charged in 15 minute increments at the cost of £15 per quarter of an hour.
All parts and materials supplied by A1 Boilers are charged in addition to labour costs (see ‘Hourly Rates’ above).
Any ‘Special Order/Non-stock’ parts required must be paid for in advance.
Landlord Gas Safety Inspections
There is a £25 certification fee, in addition to our normal labour charges, for each Safety Certificate (CP12) issued.
Estimates and Quotations
Written quotations are available upon request for fixed fee work, such as the replacement of a boiler. An appointment can be arranged for an Estimator/Engineer to attend and assess the work and note your requirements. This would include a full written report by a Gas Safe registered Engineer, detailing any specific points and outlining our recommendations and suggestions.
Estimates can be time consuming and require the expertise of an experienced and qualified heating engineer to assure the best possible advice is offered. The detailed report produced would consist of important information and is therefore a valuable document. This service is charged at a flat fee of £50 which will be refunded in full should the quotation be accepted and the works carried out.
Travel and Parking
Customers will not be charged for the time Engineers spend travelling to jobs. Where applicable, any parking fees incurred will be charged to the customer.
Payment must be made in full to the Boiler Engineer upon receipt of invoice. Accepted methods of payment are cash or Personal Debit Card (for which there is no transaction charge).
Due to a changes in Government Legislation, as from 13 January 2018 we no longer accept payment by Personal Credit Card.
Business Credit cards and Business Debit cards are accepted and will incur a 3% transaction charge.
